Club bans Dean over Facebook comments
Dean Medlock now faces a discplinary hearing on Sunday to see if his three-week ban from the East Heringthorpe Sports and Social Club will be made permanent.
The father-of-two from described the Sunday acts as "sh*t" because he was frustrated at officials booking duos instead of popular bands.

Hide Ad“I can’t believe they have suspended me for expressing my opinion. I feel like I’m being victimised,” said Dean (42).

He added: “A lot of other members have rallied round because they think it’s disgusting what’s happened to me.
Peter Hopewell, president of the Laudsale Road Club, said thatit had been advised by the CIU to suspend Dean and charge him with bringing its name into disrepute.

Hide Ad“He should have followed the proper protocol, which would be to speak to the secretary or myself or bring it up at a committee meeting, not just write it online,” said Mr Hopewell, who said that the issue would be resolved at Sunday’s meeting.
“He should have come and spoken to someone on the committee.”
