Church linked to UK by radio
RADIO enthusiasts will be linking a Dearne Valley church to the rest of the country and beyond this weekend.
Mexborough and District Amateur Radio Society is hosting an event at the New Mexborough Life Church’s New Oxford Road Centre on Saturday (Sep 13) – and the public are invited.
From 10am to 4pm, the radio hams will be giving people the chance to send out messages to other places of worship across the UK and beyond as part of an annual initiative.
The event is free to attend.
