Car park closed due to ice

A burst water pipe and the sub-zero temperatures has meant that the building has become dangerous for users.

The borough council said it hoped that following the repair, the car park will re-open at some point tomorrow.

Until then, permit holders for this particular car park may use any pay and display car park owned by Rotherham Borough Council until the multi storey car park has re-opened. No payment will be required.

This does not include the Rotherham Interchange multi-storey, as this is owned by the South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive.

The council apologised for any inconvenience caused and said that the safety of customers was of paramount importance.
