Car "airborne" in roundabout crash

A CAR was "airborne" before crashing into a roundabout, police said.

The driver of the vehicle was taken to hospital after the accident on Manvers Way in Wath at 3.30am yesterday.

South Yorkshire Police said the 24-year-old man suffered minor injuries and was taken to Rotherham Hospital.

A police spokeswoman said: "Officers at the scene said the car had become airborne before landing on its roof.

"The driver failed a roadside breath test but has not been arrested, said police.

"The crash is being investigated"
