Burglary suspect in court after woman's home emptied

A SUSPECTED burglar was due before magistrates on Friday morning after almost all a woman’s possessions were stolen—including her tea and coffee.

Sean Jeffery Kelly (42) will also answer charges relating to drugs offences after being arrested in connection with the incident earlier this week.

The woman returned from holiday to find her Bolton-on-Dearne home to find it almost completely emptied.

Kelly, from Bolton-on-Dearne, is thought to have been staying at his girlfriend’s home nearby.

When detectives searched his home they found the majority of stolen goods, which will soon be back with their rightful owner.

A police spokesman said: “We are very pleased to have been able to recover and return this property.”
