Brecon Hotel closes due to slump

A LANDMARK Rotherham hotel is closing down after nearly 50 years because of the recession.

The Brecon Hotel, Moorgate, has been put up for sale as a result of a slump in business.

Co-owner Janet Stancliffe said the hotel could no longer compete with budget hotel chains like Premier Inn and Travel Lodge.
