BLACKBURN AND WINCOBANK: working party tackles repairs to building
A WORKING party has been formed to tackle repairs to the Blackburn Club for Young People building.
The building was extensively damaged by a burst water pipe over the holidays.
A meeting was held with representatives of user groups, including the Tenants’ and Residents’ Association and the Blackburn Church group as well as the committee of the Club for Young People.

Hide AdThe most urgent needs were prioritised and work has begun on drying out the building. In the meantime, the Club for Young People and the Tenants’ and Residents’ Association are unable to hold their usual activities.
The church group is continuing to hold its Sunday meeting in alternative accommodation.
