Black bin collections back on track

Collections halted due to snow and ice started again yesterday but access to some side roads was still causing difficulties.

A council spokesman confirmed that green bin collections had been cancelled until further notice but said that residents should put out their black bins on their normal collection days, adding: “If your black bin waste is not collected from the kerbside on the scheduled collection day, crews will be deployed throughout the rest of the week to attempt to collect the waste from your property.”
