Community charity organisations Art in the Park and Open Minds Theatre Company are working together to launch the Rotherham Youth Art Exhibition.

The exhibition will provide a space for young people aged 16 - 25 to showcase their talents commission free and is being run in conjunction with somewhereto_, a Cultural Olympiad project to help young people find the space they need to do the things they love, within sport, culture and the arts.

The submitted artwork will be judged by a panel of local artists and the winning artist will receive a free one-year membership to ROAR (Rotherham Open Arts Renaissance), a support network providing advice and resources to arts professionals in the Rotherham area.

Runners up will receive professional art sets.

A spokesman said: “All sorts of submissions are welcome, from visual arts to digital arts, audio and films, poetry and more.
