Two crews from Rotherham and a crew from Dearne station attended the scene and used an aerial ladder and hose reel to tackle the blaze.

A spokeswoman said there were a number of different pockets of fire inside and the building and crews came away at 11.30pm.

As crews were leaving that scene another derelict building on Everill Gate Lane, Wombwell, was set on fire.

Three crews battled the blaze at the detached industrial building and left the scene at 1.30am.
