AESSEAL continues its royal success

ROTHERHAM engineering firm AESSEAL has won its 11th Queen' Award since 1988.

Jonathon Wilkinson, chief executive officer, said: “Between 1993 and 2011, my whole working life with the business, we have had continuous use of the emblem, often for multiple awards.”

Profits for AESSEAL have risen over the last few years with sales in 2010 reaching £104 million, a massive increase from previous years and the company is aiming big this year too.

Stephen Shaw, chairman of AESSEAL said: “Historically March has often been the best trading month of the year for the business so we were all extremely hopeful that we might hit the magic £10 million sales number in March 2011.”

Trading since 1979 as the fourth largest seal manufacturer in the world, the company designs and manufactures sealing systems used pumps, has a customer satisfaction rate of 99 per cent and prides itself on it’s employees.

Chris Rea, founder and managing group director said: “I am delighted to announce that we have promoted Richard Pickles to CEO of AESSEAL International, a business unit with an estimated £86 million of our projected £120 million sales total for 2011.”

AESSEAL’s best business so far has been 2010 where it achieved sales growth of 23 per cent and broke £100 million annual sales for the first time.
