Crowds turn out to say farewell to Danny

HUNDREDS of people paid their last respects to talented golfer Danny Cavill today as his packed funeral took place.

More than 300 people descended on Rotherham Crematorium for an emotional send-off for the 21-year-old, who was found hanging two week ago at the Rotherham golf club where he worked as a greenkeeper.

A tribute group on Facebook to Danny has attracted more than 2,000 members, while shocked friends and family left dozens of floral tributes near the spot at Sitwell Golf Club where his body was found.

He was described as “a loveable rogue” and “a true legend.”
