More than 200 people took part in the charity event at Gulliver’s Valley to raise money for the children’s hospice at North Anston.

Participants could run, walk or toddle the route, which weaved through the resort's rides and attractions.

From every £15 entry – which included theme park admission – £5 was donated to Bluebell Wood, with a total of £750 going to the charity.

The hospice supports children and young adults with life-shortening conditions, and their families.

Andy Flowers, resort manager at Gulliver’s Valley in Rotherham, said: “It was fantastic to see people of all ages coming together for this year’s fun run in aid of Bluebell Wood, one of our long-standing charity partners.

Ruth Wallbank, regional fundraising manager at Bluebell Wood, said: “The fun run was brilliant – it was wonderful to see so many happy, smiling faces having fun while raising money for our cause.”
