Virgin ready for Indian trip
The inaugural Indian Grand Prix takes place at a new circuit 20 miles from New Delhi, with organisers desperate to make sure the race is a success following the traumas of last year’s Commonwealth Games.
But, so far, everything has dropped into place at the Buddh International Circuit at Noida and India sees this is a chance for New Delhi to redeem itself.

Hide AdThe run-up to the Commonwealth Games was a dreadful embarrassment for the city, with leaky stadiums, filthy toilets, last-minute security planning and the wave of withdrawals from the event by big-name athletes.
Says Booth: “We’ll be back in the UK this week preparing for the inaugural Indian Grand Prix and the whole team—from the engineers to logistics—are looking forward to the challenge of what is a voyage into the unknown.”
