The 58-year-old has been at Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS for the past three years and described RDaSH as “one of the best places I’ve ever worked.”

Kay said: “I love working for the NHS - I have never contemplated working anywhere else.”

She received her long service award and a bouquet of flowers and will also celebrate with the team outside of work.

Julie Thornton, the director who manages all of the adult services in Rotherham, said: “I want to thank Kay for all of her dedication and commitment to patients.

“She is a fabulous colleague and we hope we see her collecting an award for 50 years!”
