New students make a splash at college
STUDENTS starting life at their new college were thrown in the deep end with a programme of ice-breaking challenges.
Dearne Valley College at Swintona held a WOW Week — their equivalent of a freshers’ week — to help new starters get to know each other.
The activities included dragon boating at Manvers Lake, escape rooms, archery, “glow in the dark” sport and movie screenings.
There was also an inflatable bungee challenge, karaoke and boot camp sessions.
