EMMERDALE star Dean Andrews and Millers legend John Breckin opened Rotherham Hospice’s newest store.

The Timeless Emporium is billed as a treasure trove of high-quality, pre-loved clothing, homeware and toys.

All proceeds from the shop, on Wickersley’s Tanyard precinct, will go towards vital end-of-life care and support at the hospice.

Rotherham-born soap star Dean — also known for roles in Life on Mars and Ashes to Ashes — was joined in doing the opening honours by John, who last month became the hospice’s first ambassador.

Anne-Marie Parkin, the charity’s marketing manager, said: “We were thrilled to have them both representing Rotherham at the opening of the Timeless Emporium.

“We wish to thank everyone who helped get the Timeless Emporium up and running, including our wonderful volunteers.

“And a special thank you to shop manager Julie Dalton, who has made it such a welcoming space.”
