Air ambulance called after boy (10) hurt in Rawmarsh smash

A TEN-year-old boy was airlifted to hospital after a collision involving a car in Rawmarsh.

Emergency services were called at just before 4.30pm on Friday after the accident at the junction of Kilnhurst Road, Dale Road and Warren Vale.

The road was closed for more than three hours.

A police spokeswoman said: “Police attended the scene, and the child was taken to hospital via air ambulance.

“The boy’s injuries are not thought to be life-threatening or life-changing at this time.”

No-one has been arrested and anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact 101 quoting incident number 583 of March 12.
