Keeping Thurcroft Tidy

RUBBISH will be the name of the game at an event taking place this weekend.

The first Thurcroft Big Local Litter Pick has been arranged for tomorrow, starting at 11am at the Gordon Bennett Memorial Hall car park, Green Arbour Road.

Everyone is welcome on the day, but children under 16 either need to be accompanied by an adult or have a completed consent form from their parent or guardian.

Affiliated to the Big Tidy Up, the event has been organised by residents proud of Thurcroft and keen to be involved in keeping the village clean and tidy.

Steve Ruffle, one of the organisers, said: “Disposing of litter may be a small thing but it is something we can do together to help make the village a better place to live.”
