Hunt for black Fiesta after man seriously hurt

A 30-year-old pedestrian suffered serious injuries in a collision involving a black Ford Fiesta.

Police have issued an appeal for witnesses to the incident which occurred on Town Lane, Greasbrough, at around 1.50pm on March 28.

A police spokesman said: “The driver of a black Ford Fiesta was travelling along Town Lane in the direction of Greasbrough when it’s believed a pedestrian stepped out into the road colliding with the Fiesta.

“The pedestrian, a 30-year-old local man, sustained serious injuries and was conveyed to Rotherham District General Hospital.”

The spokesman said that the pedestrian casualty remains in hospital with injuries to his arm and hip and is understood to be in a “serious but not life-threatening” condition.

Anyone with information is being urged to call South Yorkshire Police by dialling 101, quoting incident number 514 of March 28.
