Woman injured after early morning crash

A WOMAN has been injured in an early morning car crash.

The incident, which involved one car, occurred today (Wednesday)  at 6.30am on Aldwarke Lane, Rotherham.

The woman was in her 50s and a South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue spokeswoman said a crew from Rotherham station was at the scene until 7.10am.

A two-car collision also occurred last night on First Avenue, East Dene, at 9.20pm.

The Rotherham crew was at the scene for half-an-hour, nobody was injured.

The crew was then called to an arson attack on Chestnut Avenue, East Dene, at 4am where they found a lawnmower ablaze in a park.

The fire was brought under control within 30 minutes and there were no injuries.
