Three held by police after knife attack

A MAN was taken to hospital and three people arrested after a knife attack on Monday morning.

The victim and another male are thought to have arrived armed at Waleswood Way, Wales.

They are said to have approached the stabbing suspect, who had been sitting in a work van shortly after 9am.

He got out of the vehicle and an altercation followed, police said, during which one of the pair suffered a stab wound to the chest. 

All three left the scene and the victim was taken to Sheffield’s Northern General Hospital. 

One man was arrested on suspicion of GBH and two others were detained for carrying an offensive weapon.

Insp Abdul Aziz said: “We’re still trying to piece together exactly who has done what to who, and why. The injuries are not considered to be life-threatening.”
