Rotherham factory blaze 'accidental'

A BLAZE at a factory in Rotherham this morning was accidental, firefighters have concluded.

It took four crews more than three hours to put out the fire at Trelleborg Sealing Solutions, on Dodds Close near Ickles.

Firefighters finally left the scene at 3.20pm. A spokesman for South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said: “It was an accidental fire.

“They had been cutting plastic and it had led to a blaze in the extraction piping, which also spread to the hopper.”
