Man hunt underway after Mexborough raid

The man was woken at around 3am on Thursday (21) by someone knocking on the window of his house on Sycamore Court, Mexborough.

When the man answered the door three men entered his home and demanded money, according to police.

When the men discovered the man had no money they are believed to have stolen items from the property.

The first suspect is described as a white man, 5ft 6ins tall and of a broad build. He was wearing a dark grey fleece with a hood up covering his face and wearing gloves.

The second suspect is described as a white man, 5ft 6ins tall and stocky build. He was wearing gloves.

The third suspect is described as a white man, 5ft 5ins tall and wearing light clothing.

South Yorkshire Police are appealing for information on the burglary and want anyone with information to call police on 101, quoting incident number 77 of November 21 or call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
