A NEW “diverse” counselling service which has opened in Rotherham is offering a free assessment to everyone.

Newly qualified counsellors and therapists Abbie Rhodes and Cass Jarvis have opened Dare to Care, a private office space on Moorgate Road, and said their aim was giving more people the opportunity to receive professional care and support.

Abbie said: “We are two qualified individuals who have been working side-by-side for years in counselling and education spaces.

“We believe in taking the fear out of counselling, ensuring that we put being kind, non-judgemental and celebrative at the foundation of what we do.”

Cass said: “We are creating a space to facilitate a more diverse means of counselling.

“We are hoping to give more people the opportunity to receive professional care and support.

“We want to remove the cold, clinical side out of therapy and breathe some new ideas into how therapy can look.”
